Francisca Ordega Regrets Playing For Nigeria
Washington Spirit forward Francisca Ordega seems to be regretting her decision to play for the Super Falcons of Nigeria.
According to Ordega, she would have opted for another country because of the lack of support for women’s football in Nigeria, Africanfootball.com reports.
The US-based forward said: “If I had not played for Nigeria at full international level, trust me I would have played somewhere else.
“If this continues, Nigeria will soon cease to be a force in Africa because there will be no future Super Falcons.”
Super Falcons of Nigeria emerged as African champions once again after a 1-0 victory against the Indomitable Lioness of Cameroon on Saturday, December 3.
Desire Oparonozie’s strike in the 84th was the difference as the Falcons edge their opponent right at their very own backyard.
