Breaking: Ibrahim Magu arrives at senate for screening
Ibrahim Magu, acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), is already at the national assembly waiting for his confirmation screening.
Senate President Bukola Saraki had announced Magu’s screening on Tuesday.
In December, the senate rejected Magu’s nomination, citing a report by the Department of State Services (DSS).
The anti-graft czar was accused of corruption and “gross violation of human rights”. He was also alleged to be in possession “of undeclared pieces of property.”
He has since denied all the allegations.
President Muhammadu Buhari renominated him in January.
