Yakubu Aiyegbeni Sacked By His Football Club
Former Super Eagles Nigerian striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni has been sacked by Coventry City in less than two month with the football club.
Yakubu Aiyegbeni joined the Sky Blues in February 2017 and has played three games accumulating to 69 minutes of football.
Naija News learnt that Yakubu’s career was hampered by a knee injury which he sustained against Swindon at the end of February 2017 in a game which would prove to be his last for the League One club.
The former Everton star joined Coventry six months after his deal with Turkish club Kayerispor had ended. Yakubu, 34, also enjoyed successful spells at Leicester City and Blackburn Rovers before making fleeting appearances for other clubs.
