BREAKING: Niger State Former Gov. Babangida Aliyu Remanded In Prison Custody
The immediate past governor of Niger state, Babangida Aliyu, be remanded in prison custody until May 4, a court has ruled.
Justice Mohammed Mayaki of the Niger State High Court has ordered that ordered that the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the 2015 election, Umar Nasko, be also remanded in prison.
Both men were arraigned on Tuesday by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for conspiring and dishonestly converting to personal use funds amounting to N4.568 billion, belonging to the Niger State Government.
