Sanusi Hires Top Lawyers To Stop His Removal as Emir

The Emir of Kano Muhammadu Sanusi II has reportedly hired prominent lawyers to fight against his purported  removal from his position as monarch.

According to Naij Sanusi has hired a legal team which includes at least three Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SANs) and other lawyers.

The lawyers are:

1. Lateef Fagbemi (SAN)

2. Kola‎ Awodein (SAN)

3. A.B Mahmoud (SAN) president of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA)

Other top counsels who are yet to be named are also on the team.

The reports also claim that the legal team are already working on legal applications that are set to be filed in Kano High Court today, Wednesday, May 11.

Naija News had earlier reported the Kano state house of assembly has set up an eight-man panel of inquiry to investigate Muhammad Sanusi II, emir of Kano over mismanagement N4 billion .

The emir alledgedly mismanaged N4 billion he inherited from Ado Bayero, his predecessor.
