Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, has praised Cristiano Ronaldo after the suspended star scored a stunning goal against Fiorentina.

The Portugal captain is banned from competitive domestic action for another three games, but was able to get some game time in the club friendly.

Ronaldo cut into the area from the left, before curling a spectacular effort into the top corner, in a 2-1 win over Fiorentina on Wednesday.

“That’s what this man is capable of, we’re happy to have him here,” Zidane told Real Madrid TV after the game.

“We put in a disciplined display and made a good start. I’m happy because the fans came out in their numbers and that was very important for us.

“We achieved what we wanted to, the trophy remains here and we all head home happy.”

Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, had earlier confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo will feature for 90 minutes, in their game against Fiorentina on Wednesday.

Ronaldo is currently serving a domestic five-match ban after shoving the referee in the first leg of their super copa game against Barcelona, however, the suspension does not affect his participation in Wednesday’s match.
