Toke Makinwa cautions on “emotional abuse”and its adverse effects on society
Media personality, Toke Makinwa has expressed her view on ’emotional abuse’ and its adverse consequences on marriages and the society as a whole.
Toke made the opinion known via her tweeter handle saying emotional abuse transcends men and women, as children also get emotionally abused.

She explained that emotional abuse has a ripple effect, which can go on from one generation to the next.
Toke who is also an author said many women who remain in abusive marriages, are risking the future of their kids. She said staying in such marriages can affect the children psychologically, making them grow up to become abusive.

Emotional abuse is a vice that many individuals suffer, which leads to repression, inferiority complex, depression, as well as other psychological problems.
Unfortunately, many do not know they are being emotionally abused or abusive, particularly persons born into an emotionally abusive family.
