President Buhari did not take picture with Maina – Presidency
The Presidency has reacted to report circulating that President Muhammadu Buhari took photograph with Adbdulrasheed Maina, the embattled former chairman of the Presidential Task Team on Pension Reforms.
President Buhari had on Monday ordered the disengagement of Maina from the civil service following uproar from Nigerians over his reinstatement into the service.
Naija News had reported that EFCC is on Maina’s trail and all his properties in Abuja and Kaduna have been sealed.
President Buhari’s spokesperson, Garba Shehu on Tuesday in a series of Tweets said the president never took photograph with Maina, saying the person in the photograph being mistaken to be Miana is Ado Doguwa, the Chief Whip of the House of Representatives, representing Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency of Kano State.

Shehu explained that, “Hon. Doguwa represented the Speaker of the House of Representatives at the special Jummat prayers to mark the nation’s 57th year anniversary at the Presidential Villa weeks ago”.
