Terror: Rivers residents receive threat letter
Residents of Ubimini Community in the Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State have been thrown into a state of panic, following a threat letter apparently sent to the community by a notorious cult in the area.
Naija News learnt that prior to the letter sent to Ubimini last week, the feared cult group had earlier ambushed some neighbouring communities in the area.
In the letter, the cult gang notified residents of Ubimini of their plans to visit the community to hoist their flag, which would indicate their dominancein the area.
The elders and youths of the community had held a series of meetings, deliberating on how to tackle the planned attack on their community, Southern Sun reported.
A resident of the community privy to the letter, Mr. Elezer-Okwukwu Didia, told Daily Post that some community members had started fleeing from the area for fear of being attacked.

Didia expressed concern over the letter, calling on security agencies to come to their aid.
Didia said, “We got a letter from a cult group that they will come and pin their flag in our community. We don’t know what that means. We are afraid. Since then, we have been living in fear. We want adequate security attention now.”
Expressing his surprise at the incident, the Public Relations Officer of the Rivers State Police Command, Nnamdi Omoni, said he was not aware, but would however notify the press, once he was intimated on the case by the Divisional Police Officer in the area.
