Anambra Election: I support my husband in ‘the other room’, – Obaze’s wife
Obaze’s wife, Ofunne says she supports her husband in the other room, disregards ‘First Lady’ position.
Dr. Ofunne Omo Obaze, wife of Oseloka Obaze, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the forthcoming November 18 Anambra gubernatorial election said in Awka, on Tuesday, that she will refuse ‘First Lady’ title if her husband is elected.
The medical doctor said she will not run the office of the wife of the governor because she does not believe in ‘First Lady’ title, instead she will carry on with her profession and discharge other duties as a wife.

She added that Anambra needs “an experienced public policy expert with a doting family and an understanding and supportive wife”, stressing that she is ready to support and complement her husband if he wins.
“The supportive role of the wife of the governor requires a person who has a full grasp of the need for decorum and being beyond reproach.
“Someone who will support in ‘the other room’, where statecraft gains impetus from deeply reflective and unvarnished counsel,” she added.
