Anambra Elections: Senator congratulates Obiano, ridicules APC, PDP

Senator Annie Okonkwo has congratulated APGA candidate, Governor Willie Obiano on his victory in the Anambra governorship polls.

In a statement by media aide, Collins Ugwu quoted Okonkwo as noting that the outcome of the election goes to show the support of the for Obiano’s governance.

He said, “It was a clean sweep of the politically wrecking liabilities of imposition, godfatherism, vote trading and lie peddling, that sabotaged our past and haunts our present”, he said.

“This clean sweep is beautiful, outstanding and remarkable, because Anambra State as the light of the Nation is set for a higher altitude from a new attitude. I thank everybody and every force that brought this new dawn.”

in the same way, the Director-General of the Obiano Campaign Organisation, Victor Umeh has applauded President Muhammadu Buhari for ensuring that the electoral process was not manipulated.

Umeh, who is a former APGA national chairman, said the election is “the best election ever conducted in the state”.
