Shehu Sani slams FG for planning to sell National Arts Theatre
The Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Shehu Sani, has expressed criticisms over the Federal Government’s plan to sell the Tafawa Balewa Square, National Arts Theatre in the name of financing the 2018 budget.
Sani described the plan as “unacceptable” noting that the assets are “national monuments and priceless edifices of our history.”
Naija News recall on Monday, November 30, 2017, the Director General of the Budget Office, Ben Akabueze, revealed that the government plans to sell key national assets in a bid to generate sufficient revenue to finance Nigeria’s annual budgets between 2018 and 2020.

Sani expressed his disapproval of the plans via his twitter handle.
The proposal to sell off the National Theatre and Tafawa Balewa Square in order to finance the 2018 budget is unacceptable.These are our national monuments and priceless edifices of our history.I will stand against it in the floor of the senate.
