Police dismisses officer who murdered bus driver

The Ekiti State Police Command has sacked a Mobile Police corporal, Ayodele Famodimu, who allegedly  shot dead a commercial driver, Olabode Ojo.

The fatal incident happened on Tuesday evening at a checkpoint in Oye-Ekiti.

Famodimu was sacked following an orderly room trial, after which  he had appeared before a court on Thursday.

He has been remanded in prison custody.

The fired corporal shot Ojo dead for refusing his demand for N50 gratification at the checkpoint.
