Edo Gov Attack: Police Denies Declaring BUA’s MD Wanted

Police refutes Edo govt’s claim on BUA’s MD.

The Police have denied declaring Yusuf Binji, the Managing Director of Obu Cement Company, a subsidiary of BUA Group, wanted.

In a statement by Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki’s spokesperson, Robin Crusoe, said that the police had declared Mr. Binji wanted over an attack on the governor’s convoy at Okpella, claiming that he sponsored the attack.

However, the police spokesperson, Jimoh Moshood, on Friday refuted the claim, saying neither the police headquarters nor the police state command has declared Mr. Binji wanted.

Mr. Moshood also said he was not aware that Mr. Obaseki was attacked.

He added, “But if it is true that the governor is attacked then the state command should investigate.”
