President Buhari In Closed Door Meeting With Security Chiefs
President Muhammadu Buhari has summoned an emergency security meeting with the nation’s security chiefs.
The closed door meeting is currently holding at the presidential villa, Abuja.
Also present at the meeting is Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), as well as the Comptroller General of Immigration.

136 Nigerians Evacuated From Libya Arrive Port Harcourt
The fifth batch of 136 Nigerian returnees from Libya arrived Port Harcourt International Airport in the early hours of Tuesday, Mr Martins Ejike, South-South Zonal Coordinator, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), has said.
Ejike, represented by Mr Ebhodaghe Eric, NEMA Chief Administrative Officer, received the returnees who arrived aboard Med-View Airline 5N-MAB at about 1.10 a.m.

Army Rescue 46 Captives, Destroy Fortified Boko Haram Camp In Sambisa
The Nigerian Army on Tuesday said its troops had rescued 46 captives and destroyed a highly fortified Boko Haram insurgents’ camp deep inside Sambisa forest as part of its ongoing “clearance operation” .
Col. Onyeama Nwachukwu, the Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, “Operation Lafiya Dole“, disclosed this in a statement issued in Maiduguri.

2019: Okorocha Anoints Son-In-Law As His Successor
The Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha, on Monday anointed his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu, to succeed him as governor of the state in 2019.
The governor disclosed this at a meeting with members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Owerri Municipal Council Area, who visited him at the Government House in Owerri.

Suspected Herdsmen Kill Farmer In Ekiti
Some suspected herdsmen on Sunday killed a farmer, Olayemi Tunde, in Ipao Ekiti, Ikole Local Government Area, Ekiti State, while returning home from his farm on Sunday afternoon.
Olayemi, a commercial motorbike rider, had gone to his farm to harvest cassava.
The Chairman of Ikole Local Government Area, Abiola Ajayi, confirmed the attack.
