Nigerian Army Announces N3m Bounty For Capture of Boko Haram Leader, Shekau
The Nigerian Army has placed a N3 million bounty on Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau.
The army in a statement released by its spokesperson, Brigadier General Sani Usman on Thursday, promised the cash reward would be given for credible information that leads to Shekau’s arrest.
The statement reads:
“The Nigerian Army will give out Three Million Naira (₦3,000,000.00k) cash reward for any credible information that leads to the arrest of Abubakar Shekau, the fugitive factional Boko Haram terrorists’ group leader.
“Anybody with such credible information can either contact the Military Command and Control Centre, Operation LAFIYA DOLE, any military location, security agencies or call the Nigerian Army Information and Call Centre 193″.
Recall the army, recently claimed the Boko Haram leader is currently disguised as a woman and seeking ways to escape from the onslaught by its troops.
