FEC assures of Security in Abuja

Lives And Property Of Citizens In Abuja Are Safe – FG

The federal government has allayed fears of any planned attack by members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, popularly called Shiites on residents of the Federal Capital Territory FCT, Abuja.

Naija News learnt that the assurance was made on Wednesday, during this week’s Federal executive Council meeting which  was presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

Addressing issues on the incessant killings and insecurity in the FCT, Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Danbazzau said adequate measures have been taken to ensure the safety of lives and property of all citizens in the FCT. He advised residents to ignore any alert of impending attacks

The federal cabinet also approved a contract for the purchase of eight rapid intervention vehicles for the Federal Fire Service, worth N288m (Two hundred and eighty eight million naira).

Council also approved N33bn for Bida- Lapai – Lambata road Niger state.
