Red Cross Says Floods Kill At Least 100 People In Kenya
The Kenyan National Red Cross said on Wednesday, revealed that about 100 people have been killed and displaced more than 250,000 after days of heavy rainfall.
The widespread unseasonal rain which caused widespread floods in the nation’s western, eastern and Rift Valley regions, left 33 people injured.
The Flood also had it tolls on the infrastructure leading to power outages and making markets inaccessible.
At least 29 schools and 33 health facilities were either submerged or inaccessible due to the flooding, the organisation said.
More rainfall is forecast in the region over the coming days.
