President Buhari Seeks Senate Approval For Five Fresh CBN Nominees
President Muhammadu Buhari has sent five fresh CBN appointees to senate for approval.
Naija News learnt that the president disclosed this in a letter to the National Assembly today.
Naija news also understands that the president urged the Senate to confirm the five people as non-executive directors of the board of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Disclosing the president’s request on the floor of the Senate, Senator Ahmad Lawan raised the motion when he said:
“That the Senate do consider the request of Mr President C-n-C for the confirmation of nomination of the following persons for appointment as non-executive directors of the board of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).”
The Twitter handle of the Senate also confirmed it
Senator Godswill Akpabio seconds that the Senate do consider the request of Mr. President C-n-C for the confirmation of nomination of the above persons for appointment as non-executive directors of the board of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
