Herdsmen Storm Catholic Seminary In Taraba, Injures Priest, Two Others
Some gunmen, suspected to be herdsmen today attacked a Catholic seminary in Jalingo, Taraba state, injuring some priests and students.
This was made known to newsmen by Evaristus Bassey, director of Caritas Nigeria, an agency of the Catholic Church.
He noted that the priest was shot while two students were seriously injured. he said they are presently receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Centre, where they were taken to after the incidence.
Naija News learnt that some valuables belonging to the priest including cars were destroyed by the suspected herdsmen.
David Misal, spokesman of the state police command, confirmed the development.
He, however, did not give many details, “Give me some time”, he said.
