Naija News understands that Bamidele and another victim were hit by stray bullets during a rally to launch the campaign of the governorship candidate, Kayode Fayemi.
The rally which was well attended by party supporters and admirers across the state started peacefully before things went south.

Adeyeye, who were in the long convoy of vehicles, had gone up to greet party leaders at the party leaders at the APC secretariat at Ajilosun area of Ado Ekiti and were descending the stair case when the policeman suddenly released several bullets to scare the people.
The police was trying to protect the dignitaries from being mobbed by those who were trying to extort money from them when the policeman misfired the gunshot that hit Bamidele on the hand and the other person in the chest.
According to an eye witness “The man was at the front of the podium and was hit severally by bullets. He was already in comma and has lost so much blood before he was rushed to the hospital.”
Naija News understands that Bamidele has been rushed to an unknown hospital for treatment, while the yet-to-be-identified second victim is feared dead.
