Just In: Mimiko Finally Returns To Labour Party
The former Ondo State Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, has been welcomed back to the Labour Party after his decision to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) .
Mimiko's return to Labor party adds more color to Nigeria's Political process. It pitches Labor party as an alternative that 'could' be taken seriously at some point. We all can't be either PDP or APC.
Definitely glad that Iroko did not join APC. #MimikoReturnsToLP pic.twitter.com/lfN1YEsjTf— Prof Stanley Nwabia (@MrStanleyNwabia) June 14, 2018
Naija News learnt that Dr Mimiko has been presented a membership card of the Labour Party by the leadership in the state on Thursday amid cheering supporters.

But his return has triggered mixed reactions from the two supposed factional national leadership of the party, one led by Dr Mike Omotosho and the other chaired by Abdulkadiir AbdulSalam.
To be frank, Mimiko is one of the real social democrats in Nigeria. I once interacted with him extensively on his social ideas and he succinctly explained why Social democracy is the way forward for Nigeria. As #MimikoReturnsToLP, I wish him the best. pic.twitter.com/K97Lp2Kxs2
