Adeyeye Describes Fayose’s Promise Of 2,000 Jobs As Political Gimmick
Fayose Is Confused And Desperate At The Moment – Adeyeye
Dayo Adeyeye, a former Minister of State for Works, has described Governor Ayodele Fayose’s announcement to create 2,000 jobs as political gimmick.
Adeyeye, in a press statement signed by Mr Niyi Ojo, his Director of Press, on Sunday, stated that the Governor’s recent actions were signs of desperation for power which he claimed was fast slipping away from him.
“Fayose is confused, desperate and frustrated at the moment. His recent actions show that he is not his usual confident and braggart self.
“He recently promoted 46,000 workers in one clear swoop in order to entice the workers in the state to vote for his anointed candidate. He is not even making any attempt to cover up his tracks. He did not even bother to dress it up from the political gimmick that it is.
“The act was purely an election gimmick and he is not even bothered about people knowing that it was a political charade,” he said.
The APC chieftain, while lamenting the agonies of civil servants and pensioners due to non-payment of salaries and pensions, he alleged that workers are owned eight months’s salaries by the Governor.
“But he has been going round to collect and clone their PVCs in the government house with a view to rigging the July poll,” he alleged.
