District Head Killed By Gunmen In Zamfara State

The District Head of Kucheri in Tsafe local government area of Zamfara State has been killed by unknown gunmen on Saturday, the state’s Police Command reveals.

 Muhammad Shehu, the Public Relation Officer of the command, made this disclosure in a statement in Gusau.

Shehu revealed that Kucheri town was attacked by yet-to-be-identified gunmen at about 9:00 p.m. on Friday and the district head was killed in front of his house.

According to him, during investigation by the police, it was discovered by that nothing was removed from the district head’s house.

The Commissioner of Police Mr. Kenneth Ebrimson, according to the PRO, directed that investigation into the incident should be carried out with a view to apprehending the perpetrators.

Shehu added that the member of the public should report the activities of hoodlums and other criminals to the police to enable the police effectively tackle the security challenges in the state.
