Tambuwal Joins The Peoples Democratic Party
Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal has defected from the All Progressives Congress, APC to the Peoples Democratic Party.
Tambuwal’s move adds to the worrisome headache for the All Progressive Congress, APC, which has witnessed long list of politicians dumping the ruling party for other pastures in recent days.

The state government had earlier given an hint of the anticipated official announcement on his twitter handle, @SokotoGovtHouse.

The announment of the defection was made by the Governor at a press conference in the state Government House, on Wednesday.
Tambuwal made the announcement amid hundreds of supporters who had come from different LGAs in the state to declare their support for him.
Governor Tambuwal, on Tuesday had accused the Buhari led government of running a “prison-yard democracy” and urging Nigerians to reject the style of leadership.
The former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tambuwal, is the third APC governor to exit the party after his Benue and Kwara state counterparts, Samuel Ortom and Abdulfatah Ahmed joined the PDP.
