700 PDP, APGA Members Dumb Party For APC
APC Chieftain Also Defected To PDP In Abia State
The defection train as arrived in Abia state, an about 700 members of the Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressives Grand Alliance, from Acha Oguduasaa ward in Isuikwuato local government area of the state, was on Wednesday, reported to have defected to the All Progressives Congress.
Chief Chris Aja, the zonal chairman, APC Abia north, who received the defectors into the party urged them to have faith in the party, as the party is prepared to deliver Abia from misrule.
Aja said, “Presently, Abia is facing a lot of challenges ranging from bad roads, non payment of salaries to unemployment. These are things weighing the state down.
“And I want to assure you all that it will soon be a thing of the past once APC takes over the mantle of leadership in Abia state come 2019“.
Uchechukwu Ogah, the APC leader in Isiukwuato local government area and a governorship aspirant, while speaking at the event, call on them to work hard so that the party can emerge victorious in the upcoming elections.
Meanwhile, Chief Okey Nwagbara, the Abia south zonal chairman of APC, has defected to the Peoples Democratic Party.
Nwagbara said he dumped the APC for the PDP because of lack of internal democracy and impunity at the state chapter of the party.
