Tinubu Reportedly Dumps Ambode, Supports Sanwonolu For Lagos Governor
Lagos State APC seems to be divided as 50 council chairmen loyal to Ahmed Bola Tinubu, have turned their back on the governor of the state, Akinwunmi Ambode and have shown their support to Jide Sanyaolu Sanwonolu, who is alleged to be Tinubu’s preferred choice.
According to DAILY POST, All the 57 Local council chairman in the state have assented their support for Sanwonolu intention to rule the state.
This is coming a day after Ambode, alongside some members of his cabinet, stormed the headquarters of the APC in Abuja to get Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for his 2019 bid.
Apart from Sanwonolu, who was a former commissioner under Babatunde Raji Fashola’s government is currently the managing director of Lagos State Property Development Corporation (LSPDC).
Obafemi Hamzat, a former commissioner for Works in the state has also picked nomination forms for the governorship election of 2019.

At a meeting held after he picked up his nomination form, James Odunmbaku, an ally of Tinubu known as “Baba Eto” in the political circle, said “Sanwololu is is the Incoming governor of Lagos State.
