Nigerians React As Buhari Appoints Magaji Bichi New DG Of DSS

President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday appointed Yusuf Magaji Bichi, as new Director-General of the Department of State Service (DSS), with effect from September 14th.

The new development has sparked various reactions among Nigerians who believe the president is biased by choosing another northerner to head the DSS.

Donald Duke, apparently dissatisfied by the move of the president said “PMB has just appointed Yusuf Magaji Bichi as substantive DG SSS. Against the clamour to broaden the heads of our nations security framework, PMB has proven himself an irredeemable irredentist. SAD!!!

According to Reno Omokri, former presidential aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan “With the appointment of another Northerner, Yusuf Magaji Bichi to head the Dept of State Security, the safest thing to bet on in @Bet9jaOfficial is that President @MBuhari will always fill any sensitive national intelligence or security position with a Northerner”

With the appointment of Yusuf Magaji Bichi as DSS DG, it has further gone to show that Buhari is nothing but a tribalist with high nepotistic tendency.

Bichi was appointed to replace Mathew Sieyefa who Naija News recalls was appointed in acting capacity by the then acting president Yemi Osinbajo after Lawal Daura was sacked following the National Assembly invasion by masked DSS operatives.
