Just In: Presidency Reveal Details Of Osinbajo And Amaechi’s Meeting With Obasanjo
Presidency Clears Air On Obasanjo And Osinbajo’s Meeting
The Presidency has reacted to the alleged meeting between Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and former President Olusegun Obasanjo in Abuja.
Earlier on Wednesday, reports emerged, suggesting that Osinbajo met with Obasanjo in the company of the Minister for Transport/ DG of the Muhammadu Buhari Campaign, Rotimi Amaechi.
Though details were sketchy, it was rumored that the meeting may be connected to the 2019 general elections in the country.
However, speaking later on Wednesday in reaction to the story, Mr Laolu Akande, Senior Special Assistant-Media&Publicity to Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, clarified that the two leaders only met and exchanged pleasantries while on transit at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
He maintained that the leaders didn’t have any formal meeting as been speculated.

Ignore reports VP Osinbajo alongside Minister Amaechi held meeting with former President Obasanjo in Ota. Yesterday, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja, on his way to Lagos, VP ran into the former President who had just landed. They exchanged pleasantries. Period
