Put N30,000 Minimum Wage In 2019 Budget Says NLC To Governors
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has urged Governors to include the payment of the new national minimum wage in their 2019 Appropriation Bills.
This, according to NLC, will be the only way to avoid friction and crisis in the new year, adding that the state governments are buoyant enough to pay the N30, 000 being demanded for workers as minimum wage.
Access Bank Has Finally Acquired Diamond Bank
Diamond Bank has been acquired by Access Bank according to insiders, who further revealed that the official announcement of the transaction will be made in the course of the week by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Sources told TheCable that the acquisition was conducted with the full knowledge of the CBN in a bid to further consolidate Nigeria’s banking industry.
