Shehu Sani Warns Governors To Desist From ‘Autocratic Tendencies.
The lawmaker representing Kaduna Central district at the upper legislative chamber of the National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani, has warned governors with the tendencies of denying opposition political parties the use of Stadium and public places for campaigns to desist from such.
He however said the news that the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel has rescinded his earlier decision to stop President Muhammadu Buhari and his All Progressives Congress, APC, from using the Godswill Akpabio Stadium was a welcome development.
Naija News reports that the state government had earlier declined the APC the us of the Stadium in Uyo, for his campaign next Friday, while recommending Uyo Township Stadium, which accommodates a far lesser number of people compared to the 30,000-capacity Godswill Akpabio stadium.
Shehu Sani in his tweet however warned the PDP to dissuade from such acts, describing it as ‘autocratic tendencies’.
