Nigerian Senate Resumes Plenary
Members of the Nigerian Senate, which is the upper house of the National Assembly, have officially resumed from their recess, Naija News can authoritatively report.
According to information gathered by our correspondent, Senate President, Bukola Saraki, led the Principal Officers into the chambers.
Thereafter, the official prayers were taken and the day’s proceedings began at 10:48am.
At resumption of plenary, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, moved for the approval of votes and proceedings of Thursday, 20th December 2018 and Senator Chukwuka Utazi seconds the motion.

Recall the Nigerian Senate had on Thursday, 20th December, 2018, adjourned its plenary till January 16 2019 after the motion for adjournment that was moved by the Senate Leader, Ahmed Lawan.
Meanwhile, as the lawmakers return from their recess, it is expected that more work will be carried out on the 2019 national budget which was presented to a joint sitting of the National Assembly before they suspended plenary last year.
