Again, Onnoghen Fails To Appear In Court
Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen was absent from court again today as the Code of Conduct Tribunal resumed hearing of a case of alleged false asset declaration against him.

Naija News recalls that the CCT had earlier adjourned to 22nd of January to enable the registrar of the CCT, serve the CJN, Walter Onnoghen with charges and summons.
At the last sitting, counsel to the CJN, Wole Olanipekun had argued that the CJN was not served personally, that service was done through his personal assistant, which is against the provisions of the law.
The court adjourned to, today, to hear the motion of jurisdiction raised by the defence counsel and for proper service to be done to the CJN.
According to the report gathered by Niaja News, the CJN is presently absent from Court but prosecution and defence counsels are present.
Mr Onnoghen is facing six charges of alleged false declaration of assets.
