Black Panther Gets Oscar Nomination
Marvel Studio’s Black Panther movie has become the first superhero movie to get nominated for the ‘Best Picture’ category of the prestigious Oscar award.
The nomination is a first since the last 90 editions of The Oscars.
Black Panther also got nominations in six other Oscar categories namely best costume design, best original score, best original song, best production design, best sound editing, and best sound mixing.
Kumail Nanjiani and Tracee Ellis Ross announced the Oscars nominees list on Tuesday, January 22, 2019.

‘Black Panther’ joins “Avatar” and “Titanic” as the third-highest grossing best picture nominee ever with $700 million in domestic box office receipts and a worldwide accumulated of $1.3 billion.
