Boko Haram Attacks Buni Yadi In Yobe

Buni Yadi, the headquarters of Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe state is under attack by suspected Boko Haram insurgents.

According to Daily Post, heavy gunshots are heard from different parts of the town, with all residents indoors.

The attackers were said to have entered the town at about 6 pm today.

Buni Yadi is about 50km away from Damaturu and has recently suffered Boko Haram attacks, with their target on military formations.

Naija News had reported that not less than 11 persons had been reported killed when suspected members of the dreaded Boko Haram sect attacked a mosque in Maiduguri, Borno state, early on Saturday.

Several people were reportedly injured in the attack which happened around 5:40 am.

Damian Chukwu, the commissioner of police in the state, confirmed the incident, saying two suicide bombers, accompanied by a gunman, infiltrated the mosque located in Kushari village behind old CBN quarters in the ancient city.
