More Knocks For INEC Chairman Over Sudden Postponement Of 2019 Elections.
Reactions may continue for the next 48hours as the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to postpone the general elections has greatly upset the plans of many.
Electorates spared no social media platforms; Twitter, Facebook, Whatsapp in expressing their different opinions about INEC’s sudden postponement of the elections.
Naija News has the report that the INEC chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, after an emergency meeting announced that the general elections had been shifted the presidential election to Saturday 23rd of this month while postponing the governorship election earlier slated for March 2 by one week. This is due to logistics as claimed by the INEC chairman.
Nigerians who travelled from different states across Nigeria to their hometowns took to facebook and twitter to lament on how badly INEC’s decision will affect them, while ad-hoc staff who slept on open fields last night also expressed displeasure over the turn around of events.
