YNW Melly Pleads Not Guilty To First-Degree Murder

American rapper, singer and songwriter, YNW Melly, whose real name is Jamell Maurice Demons, has pleaded not guilty to two counts of first-degree murder.

According to XXL, the development was revealed by the Broward State Attorney’s Office who also revealed that the rapper’s co-defendant Cortlen Henry (aka YNW Bortlen) has an arraignment scheduled for Monday, March 11.

Recall that Naija News had reported that the police in its statement confirmed that Melly shot and killed Anthony Williams and Christopher Thomas Jr.

YNW Melly and YNW Bortlen were arrested three weeks ago on first-degree murder charges on Wednesday, February 13.

According to the Miramar Police, the deceased were killed on October 26 in South Florida.

Authorities had claimed that Demons and Henry allegedly staged the crime scene to look like a drive-by shooting.
