Live Update Of Imo State 2019 Governorship Election

The eight-year tenure of Governor Rochas Okorocha is gradually coming to its end as the people of Imo State troop out to their polling units today, Saturday, March 9th, 2019, to decide who will be the next governor of the state.

The ruling party in the state, the All Progressives Congress which has been expressing crisis recently is on the verge of losing the state to an opposition party.

The National Working Committee of the party had endorsed Senator Hope Uzodinma as its Governorship candidate while Okorocha threw his weight behind his son-in-law who is contesting under the Action Alliance.

The major contenders in the election today are, Nwosu Uche of the Action Alliance, Senator Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress, Ifeanyi Araraume of the All Progressives Grand Alliance and Emeka Ihedioha, of the Peoples Democratic Party.
