Nigerians React To Heavy Military Presence In River State
A storm of reactions by Nigerians has greeted the heavy military presence in Rivers State, south-south Nigeria.
Naija News reports that the outcry became imperative after soldiers of the Nigeria Army were caught on CCTV invading the home of the Rivers State Commissioner of Education, Dr Tamunosisi Gogo Jaja.
The development has been widely criticised by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nigeria’s main opposition party and a host of other Nigerians.
Apparently displeased with the invasion, Nigerians took to the micro-blogging site, Twitter to air their opinions on the development.
Naija News captured some of the reactions below…
Nobody should tell me this heavy military presence in River State is for peace and security. Even if Wike was Satan himself, he will be screaming "the blood of Jesus" seeing this heavy forces bombarding his territory.😂

Do you know that all the error you see committed today as a plan to rigging the elections @GEJonathan would have done them but he didn't?
Does it mean he was so clueless and weak? Or he just wanted the will of the people to prevail? #nigeriadecides #ArmyLetRiversPeopleDecide
