Police Arrest Kano Deputy Governor For Alleged Disruption Of Election Result Collation

The Police has arrested Nasiru Gawuna, Kano State Deputy Governor over alleged disruption of election results while collation is ongoing at Nassarawa Local Government Area of the state.

He was reportedly arrested alongside the Commissioner for Local Governments, Murtala Sule Garo.

Naija News understands the incidence occurred at the Kano Independent National Electoral Commission INEC Office.

So far, this online platform reports 43 out of 44 Local Government results were collated and Nassarawa, where the incidence occured, was the final local Government to be collated by INEC.

An investigation has already been opened into the matter and the Kano Police Command says newsmen will be briefed as soon as the investigation is completed.
