Rivers Election: What Atiku Said After INEC Declared Wike Winner

The Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has congratulated Governor Nyesom Wike over his victory in the Rivers State Governorship Elections.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday declared PDP’s Nyesom Wike winner with 886,264 votes ahead of Biokpomabo Awara, the candidate of the African Alliance Congress (AAC), who garnered 173,859 votes.
Reacting in a post on Twitter, Atiku Abubakar hailed Wike for overcoming anti-democratic forces of dictatorship and oppression.
He wrote: “Congratulations Governor Nyesom Wike. It gives me much pleasure to see a political force such as yourself, overcome the anti-democratic forces of dictatorship and oppression.
“I am sure you will continue the pattern of good works for which you have become renowned.”
