Extra Year Student Commits Suicide

An extra year student of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Ile – Ife, Osun State, identified as
Kolapo Olowoporoku has committed suicide.

Naija News understands that Olowoporoku died after consuming a poisonous substance in his hostel over depression caused by his recent academic performance.

His depression started after he repeatedly failed his carryover course, CVE and CSC 517.

Olowoporoku was the class representative of his set. He was said to have died on Monday, April 15 after consuming the poison.

As at the time of this report, efforts to reach the authorities of the school for verification proved futile.
