Police Arrest Oil Bunkers In Delta
The Special Task Force of the Inspector-General of Police on Pipeline Vandalization attached to the PPMC Depot, Warri has on Wednesday arrested four suspects over alleged illegal bunkering in the Jeddo Community in Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State.
Naija News understands that the Task Force says it has also intercepted a truckload of illegally refined diesel in the area.
The four arrested suspects are specialists in the marketing of illegally refined AGO also known as diesel in the area.
The Police squad gave the names of the four suspects arrested as; Hassan Mohammed (m), 36 years, Great Favour Zaki (m) 42 years, Rufia Aminu (m), 22 years and one Blessing Odogboro (m) 43 years.
They were arrested apprehended at the popular filling station in the area, Samizo filling station with a truckload of refined diesel.
It was gathered that one of the arrested suspects, Blessing Odogboro had drove a pick-up van with the inscription “Delta State Task Force on Petroleum Monitoring” to the crime scene.
While speaking on the arrest of the suspects, the Commander, IGP Special Task Force on Pipeline Vandalization, PPMC Depot, Warri, SP Mohammed El-Yakubu, restated his commitment to the on-going war against crude oil theft and pipeline vandalism.
He warned against criminal elements in the state, stressing the tate police is dedicated to wiping out call form of criminality in the state.
“These recent arrest should serve as a warning signal to those perpetrating this criminal act to put an end to in this area as my Command is out to ensure that such is no longer allowed within my coverage area,” he said.
