Fani-Kayode Reacts to Buhari’s Comment On IGP’s Weight

Former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode has berated President Muhammadu Buhari for saying the IGP, Mohammed Adamu, has lost weight over the rate of Nigeria’s insecurity.

The president had stated this on Sunday after he returned from the United Kingdom.

A journalist had asked if a different approach would be employed to combat insurgents.

Responding, the President said Adamu’s weight loss was proof that he was working hard.

“You know, I have just seen the IG, he is… I think he is losing weight; so, I think he is working hard,” Buhari said.

However, reacting in a post on Twitter, Fani-Kayode rubbished the remark, stressing that insecurity was at its peak in the country.

He wrote: “The IG of Police must be working very hard because he has lost weight”- Buhari

“This said at a time when law and order has broken down all over the north and thousands of innocent Nigerians are being butchered by ISWA, Fulani terrorists and Boko Haram every day. God help us!”
