Mother-Of-Three Arrested For Staging Her Kidnap With Boyfriend

Mother of three, Chizoba Ogbonna, 36, has been arrested in the Abriba-Ohafia area of Abia State, for allegedly masterminding her own kidnap through the aid of her 30-year-old boyfriend, Joseph Ezema and a mutual friend, Uche Anthony.

The IRT squad of the Police in the state was said to have made the arrest of the three of the suspects following a report from the brother to Chizoba, Stanley Ogbonna who reported that his sister was kidnapped.

Stanley disclosed that Chizoba is a graduate of Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education in Owerri, the Imo state capital.

Naija News understands that the suspects demanded N2million as ransom and were already paid N500,000 before the IRT operatives swooped on them.

The abduction was staged to extort money from her relatives and she intended to use it to travel out of the country, with her boyfriend, a school drop out who she reportedly met on Facebook in 2018.
