Gianni Infantino Re-Elected For Second Term As FIFA President
Gianni Infantino has been re-elected as the President of FIFA.
The 49-year-old was re-elected for the second term in office at the Congress of world football’s governing body in Paris on Wednesday.
The second term of the Swiss–Italian football administrator will run until 2023.
Infantino was re-elected by 211 members of the federation having won the election unopposed.
He was first elected in February 2016 to complete the term of Sepp Blatter.
Blatter was forced out of office following corruption investigations and is now serving a six-year ban for financial misconduct.
