9th Assembly: Voting For Senate President Begins

Senators-elect have commenced voting to fill the position of Senate President for the 9th National Assembly.
Naija News gathered that only 107 out of 109 senators-elect are participating in the voting process.
Voting began after the nomination of Senator Ahmed Lawan and Senator Ali Ndume.
Lawan was nominated by senator-elect Yayaha Abdullahi and seconded by Solomon Adeola Olamilekan.
While Ndume was nominated by senator-elect Ishaku Abbo and seconded by Barry Mpigi.
Voting commenced at exactly 10:55 am, starting from Abia State.
