President Muhammadu Buhari has followed the suggestions by nominating the Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Justice Tanko Mohammed as substantive CJN.

The Council also recommended names of judges to President Buhari to appoint as Chief Judges and Grand Kadis for eight states – Lagos, Anambra, Ebonyi, Niger, Taraba, Kano, and Jigawa states.
