Nigerians React As Armed Men Storm Timi Dakolo’s Residence
A storm of mixed reactions by Nigerians has greeted the news that armed men stormed the Lagos residence of Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo on Saturday, July 20.
Naija News reports that the singer disclosed this on social media network, Instagram.
The armed men, who were described as “strange men” by Mr. Dakolo, stormed his residence with a white Toyota Hiace bus.
Dakolo shared a photo of the said incident on his Instagram page with the caption: “STRANGE MEN AT HOUSE,…WITH GUNS.”

Though Naija News cannot clearly state if the armed men are officers of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Amnesty Int. Nigeria, on the other hand, claims the armed men are policemen.
“Disturbing reports of armed Nigeria Police @PoliceNG allegedly laying siege at the home of musician Timi Dakolo & his wife Busola Dakolo” the Human Rights organisation tweeted but later deleted the tweet.
Amnesty Int. Nigeria added in another tweet that the “Security and safety of Timi & Busola Dakolo rest with Nigerian authorities.”

Meanwhile, Naija News reports that the incident is coming weeks after Busola Dakolo, the wife of Timi, accused Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, the founder of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) of raping her.
Moments after the news of the incident went viral, Nigerians took to the micro-blogging site, Twitter, to react to the matter, with some accusing COZA founder of being the brain behind the incident.
Naija News captured some of the reactions below…

On July 10, 2019 Kemi Olunloyo posted Timi Dakolo's home address on IG. 10 days later, there are strange men with guns outside Timi's house.
People will be doing rubbish not knowing they are negatively affecting other people's lives &putting them in danger.

Timi Dakolo is a very unreasonable person. You post someone's phone number online and expect the person not to also post sensitive information about you as well. Laughable and pitiable.
All these social media sympathy doesn't win cases in court though.

One very simple advice for all of you on this App and on this Timi Dakolo and COZA saga.
Stop acting like you KNOW what's really going on cos the truth is we don't, stop insulting people and throwing shades. Just wait for the climax, WAIT FOR THE TRUTH.

If anything happens to Timi Dakolo and his wife, Mr Biodun is responsible.
