Biafra: Sowore’s Detention Unacceptable – Nnamdi Kanu
The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has questioned the detention of Omoyele Sowore, the convener of Revolution Now movement by the Department of State Services (DSS).
Naija News reports that Kanu, who the director of Radio Biafra, made this on the micro-blogging site, Twitter, on Friday, August 9.
This online news platform recalls that Sowore, who is the publisher of New York-based Sahara Reporters, was arrested by the DSS last week Saturday over the “Revolution Now” protests.
On Thursday, a court ruled that Sowore should be detained by the secret police for 45 days.
Reacting to the ruling, Kanu, who will hold an interactive live broadcast on the matter tomorrow, Kanu said Sowore’s detention is unacceptable.

Meanwhile, Kanu is leading a group seeking secession from Nigeria. The group has since been proscribed by the Nigerian government.
